Locstat Privacy Policy

Locstat (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Locstat (the “App”).
Information We Collect
- Device Information: We collect basic information about your device, such as device model, operating system version, and unique device identifier. This information is used to ensure compatibility and improve the App’s functionality.
- Location Information: When you use the App’s location sharing features, we collect your real-time location data. This data is used to enable location sharing with others and provide location-based services (with your consent).
- Usage Information: We collect anonymous information about your use of the App, such as features accessed and frequency of use. This information is used for internal analytics and to improve the App.
- Optional Information: You may choose to share additional information through the App, such as photos or comments associated with your location. This information is only shared with those you explicitly grant permission to. There are various privacy settings which are easily granted to each group. For instance: 1. Private – only keeps the data for you and only you. 2. Friends – shares data between the friends you choose. 3 – Parties – shares data to certain groups you select. 4. Public shares data with everyone. If you choose this option know that once committed, anyone can see this information, there are no backsies and is like tossing feathers into the wind. Select the public setting at your discretion.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide and operate the App’s core functionalities, including location sharing.
- To personalize your experience by tailoring the App’s features to your preferences.
- To improve the App by analyzing usage data and identifying areas for improvement.
- To communicate with you about the App, such as sending important updates or responding to your inquiries.

Your Choices
- Location Sharing: You can control who sees your location and for how long. You can choose to disable location sharing entirely in your device settings by going dark using “Dark mode”.
- Data Deletion: You can delete your Locstat account and associated data at any time through the app’s settings. Once deleted it is not recoverable, your established contacts, saved maps POI and any data related to your account is gone forever.
Data Security
We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. This includes data encryption in transit and at rest. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Intelligence Agencies foreign and domestic will always try and attempt to extract information from any information available online and our app is not immune from such extraction.
Third-Party Services
We may use third-party service providers to help us operate the App and analyze usage data. These third parties are contractually obligated to keep your information confidential and secure. We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Children’s Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. We will take steps to delete the information from our servers.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or comply with legal requirements. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the App.
